I found one at the local PEP BOYS. Put out by "Plews" the folks who make the grease guns found all over the place. Plwes part number is 05-037 and was three bucks. This thing is EXACTLY like a hypodermic needle, just a little heavier but certainly just as SHARP. I have not tried it yet but I see nothing about it that would lead me to believe it would put any holes in the boot that would not be self sealing and no trouble at all. For the extreamly paranoid a slight smeer of "Automotive Goop" or some such will sooth the jagged nerves. Some here have said that injecting lube will do not good. Perhaps not; but they COULD be wrong and injecting the lube can certainly do no harm. I imagine we can rank this in the same catagory as changing one's oil, say, every 1500 miles. The value of the practice is doubted by many but the proof is only obtained after MANY miles. For me; I am betting the price of a little lube against the chance of keeping the CV's happy longer. Sounds like a good bet to me.

I call the Stant Corp. inquiring where I could purchase on of these grease needles, Talked to a very nice lady. She said in the last 6 months she has only sold them to distributors in Canada. She thought that was odd, but they are more than happy to ship anywhere in the us. They aren't setup to sell to individual. Maybe one of our vendors would like to offer this, sounds like it is something good. Stant corp. no is 800-525-0545. on the web http://www.stant.com/lubrimatic/index.html

Anyone in canada want to ship me one? Thanks
