EVERY time from EVERY dead stop or just the first like the first time you move in the morning? If the former I couldnt say what the trouble is but if the latter check the breaks on that side. Once I had a rotor that "stuck" to one of the pads due to some kind of gunk that was splashed on there and I guess got imbedded in the pads. The "clunk" I heard in the morning was the rotor "breaking free" of the pad after being stuck overnight. I have no idea what the "gunk" was or where it came from but a fresh set of break pads and a little scrubbing of the rotor fixed it.

When starting from a dead stop there is a clunk which seems to be coming from the passenger front wheel/suspension area. A preliminary look both on the ground and jacked up did not reveal any glaring problems.

I understand the torsion bar could be suspect. Is there a trick to investigating this. It appears fine, but I understand a crack can be ellusive. (I have a 2-wheel drive 83.5 Westy)
