VW mounted different Spring into different kind of Vanagons. During my seach of parts to be used for enlarging the total allowed weight I found out, that springs from Panelwagon and Bus are different. Additionally I heard, that springs used for US Vangons are different, too, for a more smooth riding. I have no idea about Westy springs. A guess is, that Westy springs are those from the Panelwagon. To enlage the maximum total weight of a Bus to 2.6 tons you have to change the rear springs to those of the Panelwagon, as well as some other modifications. To enlarge the maximum total weight of a Panelwagon to 2.6 tons you have to change front spings to some others, from which I don't know the source, maybe those from a Crewcab (and other modifications).
