I had sagging springs in my '88 Westy (left side) and got some performance springs (H&R I think) These lowered the Westy. I can easily fit in my underground parking that has a 6' 8" height limit. The plusses of these springs are that the Westy now handles like it is on the proverbial rails. The minuses is that, for me, the front springs are too low so the ride is particularly harsh. I think the KYB shocks that I have exasperate this. My expeience with the gas KYB in the rear and the regular KYB in the front is that this tends to give the van a forward rake - this is made even more pronounced with the performance springs. If you get lowered springs, particularly the high performance springs, I'd reccomend getting the Boge or Blistein shocks. The other option is to find a late 88 or newer set of springs. These tend to be lower.
