Hi everybody! I've been off-list for a while, but now here I am crawling back begging humbly for some advice... Ya see, it's like this: I was driving my 84 vanagon westy the other day...actually just moved if from one side of the street to the other in an attempt to avoid my weekly $40 citation for parking on the wrong side of the road on street sweeping days... and it was raining, so I turned on my windshield wipers. (Didn't seem too significant an act at the time.) I parked across the street, and turned off the engine. The wipers went off by themselves when the power was cut off, and I got out and went on my merry way. A few days later, I jumped in and turned on the engine...and on came the windshield wipers... intermittently... Oh yeah! I had the wipers on last week when I shut off the engine...<doh!> Turned off windshield wipers and started to back up. A few seconds later... swish swish... Um... I thought I turned those off... swish swish... Hey! Stop it! swish swish... Turned off the engine. Turned on the engine. swish swish... Turned on the wipers, turned off the wipers, cleaned the windshield, turned off the engine. Turned on the engine. swish swish... OK folks... What's going on, and how do I get my dang windshield wipers out of the twilight zone??? Oh yeah.. and how've ya all been? Peace, Kristin |
