Hi. I received my rebuilt Bosch starter from Ron yesterday and it has a nice little bushing attached with a sign which says it should be used to replace the old bushing (tip of starter shaft inserts into it) for proper starter performance. What is the general thought on the list regarding this. I don't have any special tools (Bentley shows VW 228b) to remove the old bushing and considering its location, don't imagine it to be a fun job with the tranny still in place. Your thoughts/comments please as to the value of replacing this bushing. Thanks. Jim 91 Syncro Adventurewagon |
