Hi, Yahi.
Sounds like you've got the most likely problem pretty well diagnosed.
I've never seen white smoke, but I've heard of people seeing it for
this reason. Check how much coolant is disappearing. The whole
overflow tank can get sucked dry in a couple of weeks.
