I am having an epic propane tanks adventure. I have a leak in the propane tank valve. The valve is aluminum and cannot be repaired like the brass valves. So, I need a replacement tank with valve for a 1985 Westy. Apparently these are very hard to find and I spoke with the local VW dealer and they want to charge $675 for a new one and who knows how much to install. Can anyone help me locate a propane tank? Also, if anyone can shed some light on the issue I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Chris "Eating out of a can" -- Chris Cochella 801-487-4783 (tel & fax) cochella@xmission.com |
