Sounds like it might be a Country Homes conversion. They were in Scotts Valley, CA, and I think they're still around, doing similar conversion work on american minivans. A friend of mine had one ('83?) and the only features I remember beyond the vertical pop-top were that the lower bunk was somehow suspended from the ceiling when it folded down, and you could remove the kitchen and put the middle bench back in.
