Hello Volks, I was wondering why I did not get the usual deluge of vanagon email for the last couple of days. When I sent the SET MAIL command to listserv the answer was that I was not a member. Well I rejoined. Maybe Gerry (our listserver) picks random participants and discards them once in a while. Maybe Gerry does not like me any more :( (the usual human response). On the other hand I enjoyed the visits of two listmembers in person throughout these days: David Marshall and family and Earl Smith who is actually outside of the list currently. It reminded me that computer dialogues are no substitutes for direct person to person talks. So thanks for the reminder Gerry. My immediate list memory is blank through not participating. I have to tell you I enjoyed the absence of the usual fingerpointing exercises. So here is what I did in the meantime. I took my Syncro spring skiing to our local very sunny and snowy (over 8 meters) Mount Washington B.C. I was skiing in jeans and still sweating. I met another Syncro too without the owner. I wrote www.vanagon.com on his dirty rear window. Hum, maybe computers are good for making contact too. Why don't we focus on that by helping each other and using the vanagon and gerry as a vehicle. Just thinking... Björn |
