so far the mechanic has put in a new distributor cap & rotor, new afm, new fuel pump/filter, and this problem still occurs after i've been driving awhile. it'll run and then all of a sudden it's like the gas pedal is useless, then it stalls. very annoying. could it be a bad fuel pump they put in, or problems with some sort of connection? any words of wisdom are warmly welcome... joe 86 vanagon gl.
