A recent thread dealing with coolant bleeding got me to wondering
how others deal with the problem of getting the entire front end
16 inches higher.  I've tried jacking up one side with the VW jack,
putting a jackstand under the frame member and jacking up the other
side.  The van always starts sliding around on the jackstand, so I
give up and park it in the driveway, which gives me about 10 inches
of lift.

Does anyone else have this problem?  Would it be better to buy a
floor jack that would lift (from the center of the frame) the whole
front end at once?  If so, what would I have to pay for one and
does anyone have a recommended brand?
