Another mirror thought -- the PO added convex stick-on mirrors on both the outside mirrors on my 85 GL. This was very handy for seeing the blind spot as well as traffic further back and to the side. I put them on my 91 GL, as that PO hadn't. I think a good size is about 3-4 inches. They can go in a corner and don't blot out the regular view as much as you might think.
