Have you looked into there "Fresnel lenses" that stick on the back windo and increase the angle of vision? I have a "cheapo" one on mine and it DOES help. It's not the clearest picture; sort of like looking through a slightly frosty glass but objects of interest (cars, trucks, etc.) are obvious. The more expensive ones may be clearer.

SOM, SOM.....another more or less related question. The air conditioner chamber next the rear window hangs down far enough to block full visibility. From the front inside rear view mirror, I can only see about 100 feet behind the van. This appears to be a design "feature" since it's been that way since purchase. Does anyone else have this problem and a possible solution without removing the A/C or replacing springs to tilt the van forward?

Malcolm, thanks for the mirror adjustment tip. That's useful!

One takes off the mirror part and then br eaks (saws) off 3-4 mm of the "stop tabs" on the base plate so that the mirror will move more. I've not seen this discussed in the last year so I thought I'd post it. I plan to make this modification this spring as I need more mirror adjustment for a good view rearward.
