A great vehicle...i had one too, and it rivaled my syncro in terms of everything. At age 17 i converted it into a westfalia version (sans the pop top...but it had a window from a B-52 bolted to the roof...covered about 30% of it!). I sure would like to get another. there are a lot of them on the road here in SF...most of which still look new even though they are 30 years old now. Also, your description of the difference bilsteins made is what i typically hear about them no matter what the vehicle.

Don't forget Old Man Emu from Australia. The are imported by ARB in seattle. 206 264 1669. They actually make front and rears for the syncro and will be stocking them in the usa for the first time by the end of April.
