Subject:      Does Vanagon A/C work well?

I'm looking to buy a 87-91 Vanagon and am wondering if the A/C functions
well enough to be worth the sacrifice of space in the interior and the added
complexity (and the potential cost of repairs, etc.)  It doesn't seem to
affect the resale value of the vehicles either way...
