Subject:      HELP! - Can a Westie pop top be made to fit on a Get-A-Way?

I have been doing some searching for my inexpensive Vanagon and I have came
across a 1984 Vanagon with the GET-A-WAY hightop camper coversion done to
it.  The van is in great shape with just over 200,000 km, rebuilt engine
and very minor seam rust.  The camper conversion seems much more complete
that the Westfalia as there is a furnace and power inverter.

The problem is my wife and I think the high top is extremely ugly and it
will limit where the van can go.  I have a line on a complete pop top from
a 1986 Westfalia and I am wondering if it would be possible to remove the
hightop and install the pop top instead.  This would give us the best of
both worlds.
