Those autotech handle spacers are great - I bought a pair & they made my life a heck of a lot easier - I had the 6.5" speakers in there with no grilles so the crank would clear for ~6 months. Try & buy some other stuff you need from autotech at the same time tho, their shipping is like 6$ base rate (outrageous) but if you buy something else (like nice custom floor-mats for your scirocco) it offsets the s/h charge some...

The 6.5s will make you MUCH happier in the long run than piddly (nothing personal) little 3.5's. There is plenty of clearance between the dash & the door.
