Subject:      automatic transmission 87 Vanagon
Content-Type: multipart/alternative;

My auto transmission is slow to shift in the first three to four miles I drive it...after it warms up a bit , no problem... At this point it is annoying but not a major problem...I 'm just worried it might foreshadow a horror story to come. 172K miles on the van...Not like the tranny doesn't have reason to be tired.. Any transmission experts out there? I'm hoping for a cheap solution that wont involve selling my first born child...
