With the enormous help of list member Jack Reed and local heater

have the right to know and, as a bonus, our Westy finally has real heat
again!
The above is what I joined this list for, (though it may sound a
bit old
fashioned) people helping people. Thank you both for all your time and
patience!

Do not forget to have a 10 gallon fire extinguesher, inform your insurance

Ark,
And why is this? Because I'm an fool without a clue? Because I chose not
to but anything from you? Because I chose to learn about my Vanagon and
its many sub-systems rather than hand it's problems off to someone else? I
think not. I have NO intention of having my Vanagon become Van-flambé. To
this end I choose to educate myself with the best information available to
me.
If, in the future, I do have a problem with the heater system, I now will
KNOW it, as I am able to recognize proper function from improper function.
From your posts to the list and to me personally I gathered very little
information about the proper function of the BA6 system. You were
recommended to me by quite a few people, but you gave no advice, other than
to buy your product, of which I STILL know very little about. Your
electronic ignition system sounds like a fine upgrade....if only I knew
what it included, replaced and how much time it takes to install. This
lack of any useful information, and my own desire to understand this system
is what caused me to look for help in them first place.
I look forward to hearing much more about your upgrades to the stock
system.
