Hey now... Just got back from Joshua Tree, and it was beautiful. The weather couldn't have been better... Not too hot and not too cold, ocotillos, cholla and creosote in bloom... Wolfy purred like a kitten all the way there and back. Well, except for that part coming home when the winds kicked up to 50 mph through the pass...That was a little...exciting? LOL... I guess I'm finally getting the hang of it though, cause it didn't really spook me any, I just had to pull over for a few minutes at the rest stop to unclench my hands! I saw a red Westy VW California Camper on the freeway on our way to JT, and later saw it parked at the Cottonwood Springs parking area in the park. I'd never seen one before, and my boyfriend looked on embarrassedly as I peeked in all the windows and walked around checking it out. I don't know if you've all seen these before, but I sure hadn't. It was small, more like a Toyota van, and it looked like the top popped straight up, and it had German plates. Pretty cool... I'm thinking about heading to Anza Borrego in a few weeks... :o) Peace, Kristin 84 Westy Wolfsburg~Wolfy 90 Subaru Legend AWD~Althea |
