Hi Bob,

I decided on keeping them inside to keep them dry if it rains (just roll up
window) and but mainly to keep them safe when I leave the van and lock the
windows/doors. I just wanted to put them on when I got there and take them
off only when I'm ready to leave and not have to worry about them walking
off by themselves if I was out for a hike or something.. They will work the
same either inside or outside, so it's really just your preference.

You will need to tape over the magnetic strip because the magnetic tape is
not strong enough to provide a lasting hold from the magnet to the screen.
The purpose of the tape is mainly to hold the magnetic strip permanently in
place and but it also provides a cleaner look to the finished item by
providing a nice black edge around the screen. Some of the holding power of
the magnetic tape is diminished by the duct tape, but it is still strong
enough to hold it on. However, I do plan on adding a stronger single magnet
at each corner though so that it will still stay on if the door is slammed
shut. That will add another $2 to the final price, but I'll have a stronger
hold than I do now. The magnetic strip around the edge will then serve
mainly to provide a seal to keep the bugs from getting in at the edges.
