Rob,
I added the spacers to ensure clearance between the tire and the control
arm, and to restore some of the lost track width. Take the wheels to a
machine shop and have them bored out to 2-5/8". It shouldn't cost much
more than $10 per wheel, although I had bids in excess of $100 per! I
don't use caps, but some could be rigged I guess. If you get the wheels,
be sure to get the lug bolts with them, to use on the front of your
van.(unless yours is a Syncro) You'll need to find some longer studs for
the rear and nuts to match. Mine were from an early Porsche 911, about
46mm in length. Remove the two small bolts in the rear drums to install
the wheels.
