While driving my Crew Cab back down from Canada, I stopped there. Nice people, but the coffee was *AWFUL*!!!

On the flip side- it did keep me alert and awake...it was sooooo bad that I winced with every sip, and it took me until Augusta to get through the cup!

Malcolm:

I too have seen my share of sleazy truckstops, and would avoid most. But there is one I can recommend. I don't know if you plan to drive or take the ferry to Maine, but if you drive, cross at Calais. Take Rt 9 to Bangor, then 95 South an exit or two to Hampdon. As soon as you get off, you'll see Dysarts. Always good food, clean, free showers. A really nice place. Shower there, then plenty of rest areas nearby to park for the night.
