My experience with magnetic tape is that it is not very strong compared a
regular magnet. I made screens for my vanagon windows, put them on the
outside, used regular/strong magnets. I found that even these blow off in a
really strong gusty wind situation. I'm pretty sure the magnetic tape would
have blown off MUCH more frequently in the same wind conditions.
