I got a shipment of some wierd Vanagon odds & ends that may be of interest to some...

One item is the front heater system for '83-91. This is the complete assembly, with blower, heater core, ducts, switches, valves, etc. etc. Original retail is close to $1200. The catch is that it's for right-hand-drive Vanagons. I'm honestly not sure if there is any real difference or not. The main parts (blower, valve, etc) all are the same. Probably the whole assembly is the same and you could swap it out for yours as a whole. Worst case, you'd have to use your old housing but would still have all new parts. Either way, you get a brand new blower, core, etc. worth many hundreds of bucks. Three available. Price is $249.95 complete.

Another item is the rear overhead air conditioning unit from an '86-91 Vanagon. Includes the condensor, blowers, etc. that are built into the overhead unit. The front section and the conduit that goes across along the roof of the van are not included. For reference, just one of the fans inside this unit costs close to $400 if you need one. The whole unit is $179.95.

I have one gray Wolfsburg Edition rear-facing jumpseat, suitable for use in Westfalias etc. This is the type that mounts behind the passenger seat. It is clearly used, not new, but in good condition (but a little dirty). The mounting parts that are part of the seat are included. The mount that permanently attaches to the front-seat pedastal is not. Price $150.

I have six more jump seats are strange contraptions that apparantly came from a non-Westfalia VW camper conversion in the UK. These seats are really trick! They appear to mount behind the drivers seat (sorry, Westy owners), and fold up flat against the side wall when not in use. The seat back folds down, then the entire seat folds inward, flat against the side of the van! Folded up, it take up almost no space, sticking out only about a foot from the side wall (approximate measurements 24" tall and wide, 14" deep). Opened, the seat faces rear, and is about as plush and comfortable as a Westy jumpseat. The blue-gray fabric is not the same as the late 80's Vanagon gray but would look decent with a blue or gray Vanagon interior. The manufacturer's name appears to be Isringhausen, and they list a UK address. They are very solidly made. It appears that they would bolt into a Vanagon with only minor fabrication (i.e. finding appropriate bolts, spacers, or whatever). These seats are really neat! It's really cool how they unfold and open up. It's a shame the Westy has a cabinet on the drivers side or I'd keep one for myself. The price on these is $169.95 plus shipping. If you buy one and don't like it, you can send it back within 7 days for a refund minus shipping. Once these 6 are gone I don't expect to see any more.

I also got some other items back in that have been out of stock for a little while, including...
