I would try to find someone who can sew in screens and flaps without
removing the canvas first.  A possible good choice, if you live near the
ocean or big lake is a marine sail maker - most do covers and are very
familar with canvas and do a lot of hand sewing - they may be able to do
the job without removing the canvas from the vehicle - worth asking
anyway.

another option is selling your old canvas and buying new of course.  One
