The 924, 928, 944, 968 models have all been watercooled, always, but those models have never had any boxer engine. The models 924, 944, 968 had inline-4 while the 928 had a V8. The 356, 904, 911, 912, 914 (plus other designations like 930,935 etc known under the 911 model) all had aircooled boxers in 4 and 6-cylinder configuration. The 959 had a aircooled boxer, but with watercooled cylinderheads for even combustion chamber temperatures and better heater output. The Boxter and new 911 (with the totally new body) both use watercooled boxers. PerL 88 Syncro Arendal, Norway |
