Here's one for those of you who have owned (or own) both Syncro and non-Syncro Westies (or have a Syncro and would like to chime in): How much time/money does a well-maintained Syncro takes on a *monthly* basis as compared to a non-Syncro Westy? Is the difference appreciable? I will be buying a Westy (or EV camper) soon, and while the 4WD Syncro is *very* appealing, maintenance costs could be a big mitigating factor... (And IMHO the EV's just lack "charm" ) I apologize if this subject has been covered; I was unable to find anything offering direct (albeit subjective) comparisons in the archives... Thanks. Hopefully, this can stir up some good debate with actual Vanagon content :-) Brent Christensen |
