Hi Roy the best solution to your problem would be to get the Bentley manual and a ohm/volt meter. with these two items entire afc system can be checked electrically at disconnected multi-pin connector of control unit. with patients you will be able to figure out what system is letting you down. It's very simple and will really help you learn what makes your new van tick. meter cost: 20-30 $ manual: 100$ can . If you can't spring for the manual I'll scan the needed pages and e-mail them to you. as it's your first vw I'd hate for a nagging problem to sour you on them. ----- Original Message ----- From: Roy Rush (by way of Derek Drew <drew@interport.net>) <rushr7@HOTMAIL.COM> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: April 3, 1999 12:44 PM Subject: Euro-Drive: 84 Volkswagen vanagon, No-start
