Really? You should've sent it back. Mine was 8 inches too long (maybe I got your 8"). They must've just cut it short - he probably would've replaced it right away, you really can't stretch rubber-coated aluminum.... You might even send him a note now & ask if you can have a 10" segment to fix yours.
