The 924, 928, 944, 968 models have all been watercooled, always, but those models have never had any boxer engine. The models 924, 944, 968 had inline-4 while the 928 had a V8. The 356, 904, 911, 912, 914 (plus other designations like 930,935 etc known under the 911 model) all had aircooled boxers in 4 and 6-cylinder configuration. The 959 had a aircooled boxer, but with watercooled cylinderheads for even combustion chamber temperatures and better heater output. The Boxter and new 911 (with the totally new body) both use watercooled boxers.
