Hey folks, I'm about to begin 5-cly diesel conversion and need to choose a direction. Present are two parts donor vanangons 1) 1980 air-cooled westfalia camper 2) 1985 vanagon gl

The aircooled requires a little rust attention (not seams) where as the '85 was an excellent body (until the tree limb, this winter). So body work will be happening to either but is it more difficult to switch the camper equipment or the pop top? Have welder, just don't want to waste time pushing a bad position in converting the '85, it does have the water cooling though?

many thanks,

Joseph
