I think you have come up with a really interesting solution to an expensive problem. I don't know how common it is, so I'm not going to buy a set of hoses just to have them on hand, but the fittings, though ---

We have several people in town who can make up hi-pressure hydraulic lines in any length you want. If you could let us know what fittings you needed and where you got them, it might be worthwhile to get a set in case you wanted to have the lines built later.
