Dear Listees: My '85 westy is loosing several reservoirs worth of brake fluid per week. Since there are no leaks at the wheels or clutch cylinders, I am assuming that my recently installed brake master cylinder is leaking fluid into the brake booster and that the fluid is then being sucked into the engine (I have also just noticed a distinct hissing sound from the instrument pod area whenever the brake pedal is pressed more than halfway). If this is true, I am wondering if I should expect to have a vacuum booster failure soon due to the brake fluid eating the rubber diaphram or whatever. Does anyone have any experience with this? Please respond to me at chiang1@usa.net . Thanks!!!
