As Steven S. pointed out its probably the 3rd/4th hub which has cracked. Therefore, you're looking at pretty much a complete teardown for repair/replacement. He also mentioned a starting figure for repair/rebuild at around $1600. I currently offer these at $1995- almost $400 more. Through experience I have found that if you try and cheeseball one together it will only come back and cost even more $$$. I, and I'm sure other rebuilders, can offer a fixed labor + parts price but with the normal wear and tear vs. age of the transaxle you'll still probably end up around the same figure. -Todd Hill VolksWerks Transaxles Olympia, WA 360-412-0948 |
