I have seen it on a '85 Syncro once, this was a 1,9 carb engine, and I believe it is fitted on carb engines only, my manual describes it as "a valve to shut off pre-heated air" and at least early models (not sure about Syncro) uses an heat exchanger on the right muffler, for pre-heated air for the carb. Maybe the Diesels have them too. I'm not sure, my manual does not go into this very much, and my Haynes does not cover the Syncro. PerL 88 Syncro Arendal, Norway |
