Since the ECU left us stranded once, I now carry a spare. I also have an O2 sensor, ignition wires (old ones from the last change), distributor cap and rotor, oil (at least 1 full change worth), oil filter, air filter, temp II sensor (from the last change; still works), and (of course) coolant. I didn't go out and buy all this stuff at once, but just accumulated it as I was changing stuff doing preventive maintenance, etc. The O2 sensor is new from the Bus Depot (generic U-splice). Most of the stuff fits under the weekender seat or in a rubbermaid tub that I always carry anyway. This is sounding almost like that "what do you carry in your bus" discussion that's summarized for some people on www.vanagon.com. I always liked the guy who said "A Colt .45 and I don't care who knows it either." :-) [Please, no gun control flames or discussion... take it to talk.politics.guns] -Karl
