Not at all. Check out the epa web pages if you don't beleive. Of course, if
you don't beleive the government either, then I guess that won't convince
you. Still, the mechanism by which CFC's cause the breakdown of ozone in
the upper atmosphere (where it blocks ultraviolet light, thus preventing
many cases of skin cancer, cataracts, etc) is quite well understood. The
link between CFC's and ozone destruction is about as strong as the link
between smoking an cancer. Course, some people don't beleive that either...
