Subject: TDI conundrum: need Syncro DIESEL fuel filler part#

Dear List,

In my quest to convert my van to a TDI, it appears that Diesel fuel fillers are larger in diameter than their no-lead gasoline cousins. <underline>Thus, I need the part number for the external SYNCRO DIESEL fuel filler -- a part never imported to this country</underline>.

Anyone know the part number(s) for these special-order items?

</bold>

BTW: I just picked up a 1996 Passat TDI as my daily-driver -- drove it all the way from Syracuse NY to Boston MA and got 50mpg @72mph! Plenty of power and very comfortable. Can't wait to see what mileage I get with a TDI in the Vanagon!!!

Cheers,

<bold>
