    I'm going to give Prestone 5/150 Coolant a try.  It is a Ethylene Glycol
coolant, that is Silicate and Phosphate free.  Rather than the typical green
or blue color, it is a red or pink color.
    As I understand it the only requirements for VW coolant is that it be EG
and Phosphate free.  Has anyone else, used this in their vans.  I know it is
the same stuff that comes in all the newer VWs.
