Hey VOlks,

I had the U-joint Blues on my syncro, and I was hesitant to do the "exchange" with VW. Cause I'm Cheep.. Then a thought ran through my mind, If VW is rebuilding them Why cant I?? So I did some research with the Drive axle off of the Van, I went to the local Tractor parts supplier to start, I compared there U-joint's with the VW joint and I found the same part used for A domestic tractor. So I had a good solution Only problem was pressing out the old one,and pressing in the new with precision. a real pain in the butt, and should be done by some one who does this all the tiime. So I called the local Mack truck parts and service. No problem's they had the same part and they could do it in one afternoon, both Joints with greese fittings and they will balance the shaft as well. Excellent...... Total Damage.. 150.00USD Now thats a bargain I thought and this axle has greese fittings for longer life.

Hope that this help others.
