Mark, I don't know for sure, but my guess is that you are right about the softer ride. That's why I bought the MXT's... I think the Westy rides too rough already without going to stiffer truck tires.

Is there a big difference between the MXTs and e.g., a good quality 6ply light truck tire? I suspect the ride with the MXT is a bit softer.
