I checked the archives about tires at Costco. Got a set for our syncro and they seem pretty nice. A later post to the list also mentions that he went to Costco that had a sign "We do no install Vanagon tires". Don't know what's up, but I'm happy with the tires we purchased.

I have found what appears to be the best deal going on tires for vanagons. COSTCO now carries a load range C under their house brand name. I was told that they are made by Michelin. They look similar to Michelins's LTX. COSTCO item # 187448, 195-75-R14 ,60,000 mile warranty, $48.49 each, $7 installation and balance. My friend just.....
