Subject: AC High Pressure Switch
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hi Everyone, My 91 Syncro is up in Albuquerque having some work done on it. One item currently on hold is the AC system which may just need a re-charge or have a bad component. Trouble is, my Vanagon is an Adventurewagon camper conversion and the mechanic can't find the high pressure switch. I'm 230 miles away so can't help look for it and don't really want to have them take the conversion apart to find it. I can't imagine it being too hard to find. They do report the original VW AC lines are not used and new hoses were run when the conversion was done. I suppose the high pressure valve may be somewhere on these new lines. Obviously, I'm not an AC guy or mechanic as far as that goes either. If any of you Adventurewagon owners know, or maybe someone who has serviced these van's, I'd sure appreciate an answer.

TIA Jim Sperl 91 Syncro AW Alamogordo NM
