Jodi,

The O2 sensor mounts in the exhaust system, before the exhaust reaches the catalytic converter. There is a hole in the pipe. I can reach mine by stooping down behind the driver's side rear wheel. It threads DOWN into a hole (vertically). I would expect your exhaust system to be ROARING w/o the O2 sensor in place!
