Amen. I sold tires for about a year. The salesmen would say anything to make a sale and the manager was busy making sure we sold enough to look good to his boss. I would say most tire salesmen wouldn't have a clue as to what requirements a Vanagon has. They would look in their tire guide pamphlet and say, "well that's a minivan, probably similar to a caravan. Lets put some P195-75-14's on it..." Quite honestly, I would have said the same thing, out of ignorance. > It would be nice if it was that simple.
