funny you should mention that .... a fellow down in florida used to sell a 'kit' that consisted of a small 120v ac household air conditioner that sat in the front luggage area, and had a 'sock'/tunnel that zipped into the 'window' (which had to be unzipped) and blew the cool/cold air down into the bus via the popped-top. don't know what held it securely in travel. :) and you were restricted to campsites with electrical power. i suppose you could get any long 15-amp-rated extension cord. might make those summer nights a bit more comfy, even if you did lose the outside luggage storage. :) no, i don't know if he's still selling them. i haven't seen the ad in a long time ... i think it was in HOT VW's. joel |
