Hey.. just my .02 ok.. so dont get pissed.. I know how exactly these are wired.. so here goes.. the back 2 have a "common ground" VW's way of saving .05 cents.. there is only 1 ground to the back of the stereo. and the back speakers as you will see have the grounds hooked together.. if he clips off the back speakers from his new deck it will work perfectly. the reason his deck does this is its new.. the older decks like the ones that came in our vans.. didnt care about a common ground.. no fix kit will fix this.. all you can do is re-wire the speakers. 1990 and up cars dont have common ground decks and are run perfectly. so you wouldnt have this prob if yout van was newer. pretty simple fix. as I had to do this in my van also.. I put 6X9's in my rear hatch =) pretty cool but a pain in the @$$ to get the wires run through the dang door. but it looks professionally done and has a lot more sound!
