I too live in Florida and just today drove from Orlando to Sarasota and back using I-75. Don't know what it is about that road but you're right, people FLY along that stretch. No cops either. It took 2 hours 15 min. on the way down, 2 hours flat the way back (late night). Pretty good time (and H rated tires too!) [I'll never admit to the average speed my computer and GPS indicated though.]
